I attended cosmetology school during high school at Longmont High School in Colorado. I graduated in 1979. I opened Cutting Loose Salon in January 2008.

What part of hairdressing do you love most?

I loved being in the hair industry; helping guests and our team look and feel beautiful. It is the only creative bone I have so I focus on my hairdressing skills.

What about the industry that fuels you?

What fuels me are the amazing people I get to work with every day. I am also involved with various Beauty Industry events and travel globally for my technical and business training.

What is a fun fact about you, or something that you would want potential new guests to know?

My fun fact is I was born in France. Not French, just an army brat. And now I cut French!

What do you love to do in your spare time?

I love spending time with my family. That includes husband, dogs, kids, grandkids and I am fortunate to have both of my parents here in Sarasota.

What are your top achievements as a hairstylist?

I have been a proud member of Intercoiffure since 1989. This is an elite group of salon owners that are the best in class. I have had the opportunity to work on stage and backstage at many Beauty Industry trade shows; sharing my technical, as well as business skills, with other hairdressers globally. There is nothing like opening a magazine and seeing your work published. I started doing photoshoots over 25 years ago and still love it to this day!
