Our concierges/reservationists are required to have basic computer knowledge, phone etiquette, good manners, and the ability to multitask. Stylists must have a Cosmetology License.

Each month, Cutting Loose Salon hosts an advanced education seminar so our hair designers continuously immerse themselves in the latest techniques and trends. We also have an associate training program that cultivates new talent. Protégé by Cutting Loose Salon is a proprietary advanced-level mentorship program for licensed professionals. Protégé Stylists assist some of the best in the industry at Cutting Loose Salon, while continuing to practice their own craft and attending weekly technique seminars.The goal of Protégé Stylists is to speed their progress toward complete mastery, while learning advanced cutting and coloring techniques not covered in beauty schools. Protégés progress through three levels while building their own client book, with many who complete the program returning as Designer Stylists at Cutting Loose.

We are involved in our communities with a theme of giving back that helps women and girls cut loose—from cancer to empowerment to breaking from abuse.
Cutting Loose Salon recently welcomed industry legends: Stephanie Kocielski, Vice President of Education and Artistic Director for Paul Mitchell; Mary Cuomo, International Trainer with Paul Mitchell; and Robert Cromeans, Global Artistic Director for Paul Mitchell systems and longtime friend of Cutting Loose Owner Coral Pleas.
Seen here, the team spent the day at the Cutting Loose University location (8429 Honore Avenue, University Park) on March 12 where showcased new techniques for haircutting, coloring and styling to over 75 stylists.
The visit was a part of the Cutting Loose’s ongoing commitment to education and advancement. Hair designers attend education seminars each month so they are continuously immersed in the latest techniques and trends.
