We do hairdressing every day, because we love what we do, but to see our work in photos and in magazines becomes the icing on the cake. As stylists, we do hair for other people, so when we get behind the lens and style for a magazine/cover shoot, it transitions into implementing a creative vision that tells a story, inspired by our guests. It brings out different emotions for those seeing the photos; it inspires them in some way, or reminds them of different eras in history and therefore it becomes not just another photo, but art. This is what is so inspiring about creating these looks and why I am so exciting to be a part of the artistic vision for Cutting Loose Salon.
My vision is to bring out the best in our stylists, in order that they can realize their own talent and creativity which gives them more confidence to push themselves to the next level. No matter how long we have all been in the industry, it is imperative to continue to develop our talents and our eye for design when it comes to hairdressing. In order to continue to push the envelope and be on the forefront, I am always looking at fashion and thumbing through pages of magazines to find inspiration for different hair styles. My goal for this vision in to not only teach, but to elevate the standard of hair design and become the “go to” salon for fashion and photo shoots, here in Sarasota and beyond.
