Cheyanne Clark and Chelsea Linde met at Cutting Loose Salon in August of 2010. Cheyanne can recall the conversation that ignited their friendship, sharing passions and dreams for life ahead. Chelsea, having a degree in journalism and her own fashion blog, was attracted to the beauty industry because of the creativity that developed backstage at fashion week and anticipated the stories and photographs that would soon be printed in the magazines. Cheyanne, a third generation hairdresser, has always had an eye for editorial styling. While, some people go to craft stores for home projects, she frequents them to find interesting additions for her next photoshoot, which led her to be the salon’s Creative Director.  It was then, that the two friends joined together in dreams for one day working at New York Fashion Week together, and in September of 2017, they did exactly that.

Cheyanne was to work with the Bumble and Bumble team, while Chelsea was with Maggie Mulhern from Modern Salon Magazine, covering the latest trends happening backstage. It felt like a dream. The hustle and bustle of the city, mixed with fashion, talent, and of course, hair. The trip was to be only a weekend, but due to Hurricane Irma passing through Florida, their trip was extended through the end of the following week. Knowing that their family and friends were safe, they continued on with an incredible trip. Cheyanne and Chelsea went to a total of 27 shows, interviewing lead stylists, sitting from the front row on the runway, and doing backstage hair for four, together. They felt honored to be among the best in the beauty industry, taking in every moment, and every lesson they could. The experience fueled their inspiration for hair and desire for more. The duo plans to return to New York in February, for NYFW18 Fall/Winter
