Ella Lautner

I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School, of Fort Myers in 2016. Being a part of an amazing dream team of stylists who are interested in growing in their profession is what first attracted me to Cutting Loose. Learning and living the culture passionately inside of the salon and out. Helping my guests feel and look their best; there is nothing like their look in the mirror after I have transformed their look. Hearing them say, “is that MY hair?!” with a huge smile, is what keeps me going! Also, having a passion for runway and editorial work and a passion for continued education to thrive as a stylist.

Stylist Q&A

What part of hairdressing do you love most?

I love every aspect of what I do. From the awed look on my guest’s faces when I am putting the finishing touches on their haircut, to totally transforming someone with color and style, to styling someone for their special day or onset of a photoshoot. Balayage and blonding is one of my huge passions. Life is better blonde! I love cutting the perfect pixie haircuts just as much as I love my long-haired girls. Fashion shows are also my jam; creating out-of-the-box looks with a team, surrounded by the hustle and bustle that goes along with the backstage environment and seeing that look come to life on the runway! Photoshoots and editorial work are also my passion; seeing the vision that was once in my head come to life in the perfect snapshot and working alongside talented photographers makes for a perfect dream team.

What about the industry that fuels you?

The industry is so dynamic and is constantly evolving, flowing, and is fluctuated by creativity. Being on a team of creative minds means that the impossible is possible. As a creative, it fuels me to be a part of an industry that allows me to fuse my passion and act as an outlet for my creativity.

What is a fun fact about you, or something that you would want potential new guests to know?

Me and Cat Woman have never been in the same room at the same time, I’m just saying…

What do you love to do in your spare time?

I have an amazing little boy that is six years old and gives my life meaning and purpose.

What are your top achievements as a hairstylist?

Just BEING a hairstylist is an accomplishment! I love participating in classes that continue my education so that I can be the best version of myself as a hairdresser that is possible.

Participating in fashion runway shows has been so rewarding; working with an amazing team of stylists to come up with a look, and see it come to life on the runway is amazing.

I see myself moving forward in receiving continued education and advancing as a session stylist with editorial and runway work.
