During the month of August, Cutting Loose sees a shift in when guests are visiting.  While the snowbirds are still away, it seems the locals come out to play.  We see them making days of pampering  – from hair to nails, to dinner and a movie.  We also see a shift in our team.  Our community involvement begins to rub off more, not only on our stylists, but also on our Protégés.  Shopping local is love and passion of our team. They love to live, shop and give back in the community that supports them.

Kristin Timm, a Protégé Team Lead, shared a bit about how this impacts her.  “I began to see a need for children returning back-to-school time.  It prompted me to reach out to a local charity, Hope 4 Community and make a difference,” says Kris.

Hope 4 Community is a local organization that helps children who are homeless, in foster care or in the need be prepared for school.   Through Kris’s outreach, Cutting Loose partnered with JT Grant’s Day 4 Hope, which organizes backpack drop off for school supplies and donations, and provided children haircuts free of charge for the start of school.   JT had 7 locations for these fundraisers to raise awareness for Hope 4 Community.

Kris was so excited about how this impacted these children.  “Not only did the children love the special treatment, but it was such a pleasure to share our talent and education with the local community.  I am so glad to help raise awareness for such a worthy cause,” says Kris.
