On Monday, October 13, 2025, Cutting Loose Salon and owner Coral Pleas were recognized

by Manatee Technical College with the Outstanding Business Partner & Advisory Committee Member Award. This recognition celebrates our ongoing commitment to supporting beauty education and helping launch the next generation of stylists.

For years, our partnership with MTC — and several other area beauty schools — has been a vital part of how we grow and give back to our industry. Every quarter, our education team visits the campus to teach the latest hair trends, share professional development advice, and guide students on what to expect as they transition from school to salon life.

We love sharing what makes Cutting Loose unique — from our in-house Protégé Academy to our culture of continued learning, mentorship, and growth. Many talented protégés on our team today began their journey through this very partnership.

Receiving this award reinforces our belief that when salons and schools work together, everyone wins — the students, the industry, and the guests who benefit from passionate, well-trained professionals.
