That is why we are excited to introduce Funner, an expressive new professional haircare collection created for healthier hair without rigid beauty rules.

Funner was co-founded by Jonah Kaner, Daniel Kaner, and renowned beauty entrepreneur Sonia Kashuk. Daniel Kaner, co-founder of Oribe, has been a longtime friend of Cutting Loose and someone we deeply admire for his creativity, innovation, and respect for the professional salon industry.

The collection includes 21 products for cleansing, conditioning, treating, styling, and finishing the hair. Each formula was developed alongside professional stylists and designed to be mixed, layered, and personalized.

Funner begins with a refreshingly simple belief: there is no single definition of “good hair.”

One day, you may want smooth, polished shine. The next, you might choose volume, texture, natural movement, or something completely unexpected. Rather than treating hair as a problem that needs to be corrected, Funner gives you the freedom to experiment and create hair that feels like you.

The formulas address real hair needs, including hydration, breakage, texture, shine, humidity, heat protection, scalp health, and color protection. The collection is sulfate-, paraben-, and silicone-free and uses more thoughtful packaging choices, including bottles and jars made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic.

Even the packaging reflects Funner’s unconventional personality. Created by the renowned Paris-based design studio M/M Paris, the brand uses changing colors, typography, and graphics instead of one traditional visual identity. The result is a collection that feels expressive, modern, and collectible.

We invite you to experience Funner during a special open house at Cutting Loose Salon on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore the collection, learn how the products can be mixed and layered, receive personalized recommendations, and discover a new way to wear their hair.
